Chimney Fires
Chimney fires threaten the very heart of your home. It is a very scary experience! Some chimney fires are undetectable. However, they can still crack flue liners which expand when the flue gets too hot, leaking smoke into the infrastructure of your house.

The rule of thumb for chimney care is to have your chimney cleaned once a year or every three cords of wood.
Although we burn pine at 7,000 feet without too much trouble, if you're burning pine, the chimney cap should be checked a few times during the burn season for undo buildup more than one-quarter inch.
